Why am i not receiving as many survey invitations as I'd like?

In most surveys we conduct, there are no real constraints on who answers but there are times when our clients are looking for a specific target group. Sometimes it’s people who use their product, sometimes it’s people who don’t use their product. Sometimes it’s based strictly on their age or where they live or whether they’re a man or a woman. In all these cases, we try our best to avoid inviting people who may not qualify for a survey but this isn’t always possible and this is when we have to put in 'screener' questions (and is why filling in all of the profile information that we ask you for is so important).

Sadly, we are unable to expressly tell people that they may or may not qualify in the invitation itself as some people will inevitably answer dishonestly in order to qualify. This is a serious problem since even a handful of false surveys can make results unusable or even worse, cause our clients to make expensive mistakes. Also, many people would ‘guess’ incorrectly and disqualify themselves when their truthful answers were what we needed. Obviously, it would be extremely expensive to award points to those who only answer 2 or 3 questions as well as being unfair to those who qualify and spend many minutes answering questions. There is also the argument that awarding the same amount regardless of qualifying might make some people start trying not to qualify!

All in all, we do our best to be as fair as possible and those not qualifying for the full survey and points will always be given an entry into all current prize draws as a token of compensation.
